Welcome to the District: Naked Kitchen

Naked Kitchen is Coming to PHXJAX

This fall, the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District (PHXJAX) is proud to welcome Naked Kitchen to the Liberty Building, marking an exciting new chapter for the neighborhood’s vibrant food scene. Founded and led by Brian Nelson, Alexandra Bowles and Matt Johnson, Naked Kitchen is much more than a restaurant—it is a heartfelt commitment to the belief that food is medicine, and that nourishing the community begins with Cooking with Conscience.

A Culinary Experience Rooted in Regenerative Placemaking

Situated within the creative heart of PHXJAX inside the Liberty Building, Naked Kitchen offers a unique dining experience where every ingredient is carefully selected for freshness, flavor, and nutritional impact.

Founder Brian Nelson shares:

“We are going into a ‘food desert,’” he said, “It is important for us to bring a fun, new concept to that area. We want to not be pigeonholed, but we have vegan and vegetarian options and protein options. We want to be there for Springfield and have a wonderful place to take your family…”

Naked Kitchen now offers catering and operates pop-ups at area and Springfield events. Its website is nakedkitchenjax.com.

Small Businesses are a Big Deal

By championing independent, family-led ventures like Naked Kitchen, PHXJAX actively prioritizes local entrepreneurship and cultivates a sense of belonging, ensuring the district’s cultural identity and community soul remain intact. This is how PHXJAX builds a thriving ecosystem that truly serves its residents, artists, and visitors alike.

As Naked Kitchen prepares to open its doors, the call to action is clear: be part of a growing movement that values authenticity, sustainability, and shared prosperity. Whether you’re a foodie, local business advocate, or community builder, PHXJAX invites you to join this regenerative journey.
