Welcome to the District: Wolf & Cub
Wolf & Cub Announces 2025 Reopening in the Liberty Building at Phoenix Arts & Innovation District
Beloved Jacksonville retailer Wolf & Cub is making a highly anticipated return with the grand reopening of its flagship shop in the fourth quarter of 2025. The new location will be at the Liberty Building (2336 N. Liberty Street), a vibrant, mixed-use retail and food destination within the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District.
Founded by Emily Moody and Varick Rosete, Wolf & Cub has been a staple of Jacksonville’s independent retail scene since opening its Downtown brick-and-mortar shop in June 2016. Known for its curated selection of modern and vintage apparel, art, accessories, and independent lifestyle goods, Wolf & Cub quickly became a community hub for local makers, artists, and thoughtful consumers.
Return of the Wolf
After a brief hiatus, the duo is ready to reintroduce their unique retail experience to the community—this time, as part of a growing ecosystem of local entrepreneurs in the Phoenix Art & Innovation District’s newest adaptive reuse concept in the Liberty Building.
"The Liberty Building is more than just a retail space—it's a destination," said Emily Moody, co-owner of Wolf & Cub and founder of Moody. "Being part of the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District aligns with everything we value: creativity, community, and collaboration. We’re honored to grow alongside so many talented entrepreneurs in a space that celebrates Jacksonville’s cultural and economic revival."
"Wolf & Cub has always been about more than shopping—it’s about connection," added Varick Rosete, co-owner of Wolf & Cub. "The Liberty Building gives us an opportunity to be part of something bigger, a place where community thrives and local businesses uplift one another. We're excited to welcome back our customers and introduce them to this incredible new destination."
Tony Cho, CEO and Founder of Future of Cities, the development company behind the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District, also shared his support:
"Supporting mom-and-pop businesses like Wolf & Cub is essential to creating a thriving, resilient local economy," said Cho. "Future of Cities is proud to uplift small business owners and visionary entrepreneurs like Emily and Varick who are helping to realize Mayor Deegan’s bold vision of Jacksonville becoming the small business capital of the Southeast. The Liberty Building and the broader Phoenix District are designed to be catalytic spaces for exactly this kind of innovation and community-driven commerce."
The Liberty Building, a historically significant industrial space reimagined for modern use, will house an eclectic mix of small-scale retailers, artisan makers, and food and beverage operators. In addition to Wolf & Cub, leasing opportunities for other retailers and culinary concepts are currently underway. Colliers Jacksonville, led by Matt Clark of the Urban Division, is actively curating a dynamic tenant mix to create a destination that celebrates local entrepreneurship while drawing visitors from across the region.
Businesses interested in joining the Liberty Building community can contact Matt Clark at Colliers Jacksonville for more information on available spaces and leasing opportunities.
